What if the best thing you can do when staging a home is not make it look staged at all?

What if the best thing you can do when staging a home is not make it look staged at all?

Recently, we listed a home in Inglewood and our clients asked whether they should pack away some of their more eccentric pieces before we went to market.

Our advice? Absolutely not. Lean into it.

Inglewood has a character all its own, and the buyers attracted to the neighbourhood often appreciate homes that have personality too. Rather than trying to make the property look like every other staged home, we worked with what made it distinctive.

The result?

12 groups through the open house, competing offers in a softer market, and a sale over asking price with no conditions.

Good staging isn’t always about making a home neutral. Sometimes it’s about understanding the buyer, understanding the neighbourhood, and knowing when a home’s individuality is actually one of its strongest selling features.

Don’t stage the soul out of the house.
