Giving Back to Our Communities

Supporting the communities we call home

For us, giving back isn't about putting our name on something. We prefer to support programs and ideas that encourage participation, strengthen community connections and create a tangible local benefit.

Sometimes that means financial sponsorship. Sometimes it means organizing an event, promoting an initiative or contributing the time needed to make something happen.

We are always interested in hearing about worthwhile community initiatives and opportunities to make a positive difference.

Nanton Positive Ticket Program

We are pleased to sponsor the Positive Ticket Program with Nanton's Community Peace Officer.

Rather than focusing only on enforcement, the program recognizes young people when they are seen making safe choices, demonstrating good citizenship or doing something positive in the community.

It is a simple idea we strongly support: recognize good behaviour and encourage young people to continue making positive choices.

Creating Community Through Events

We also organize and sponsor community events designed to bring people together.

From the Nanton Parade of Garage Sales and Nanton Christmas Light Contest to other community initiatives throughout the year, our goal is to create events that are accessible, enjoyable and beneficial to the broader community.

Whenever possible, we also use these events to support local organizations, encourage participation and bring visitors into the community.

Supporting Access to the Nanton Library

We sponsor library cards for Nanton residents of all ages, helping make books, information, programs and other library resources more accessible throughout the community.

A library card can open the door to reading, learning, research, technology and community programming. Supporting access to the library is a practical way to encourage lifelong learning and strengthen an important local resource.

Children's Miracle Network

We are proud supporters of Children's Miracle Network, helping support programs that provide care for children and families when they need it most.

Supporting children's health is one of the ways we can extend our community involvement beyond the communities where we live and work.

Supporting the Nanton Food Bank

Food security matters in every community.

Throughout the year, we support the Nanton Food Bank through donations connected to our community initiatives and events. Our Nanton Christmas Light Contest, for example, includes a donation to the Food Bank for every home that registers.

It is a simple way to make an enjoyable community event provide an additional benefit to local families.
